May 2025 Quiz Night in Aldershot

The first Quiz Night of 2025 at the Excelsior Club in Aldershot organised Farnborough & Aldershot Lions Club took place in early May. This fundraising event was in aid of a very special project run by Lions Clubs locally and nationally that will literally save the sight of many children around the UK.

The Quiz Night had 4 teams attending but despite having fewer teams than normal still raised a magnificent £235.00. We would like to express our sincere thanks to the quiz teams attending for their tremendous support.

From September 2025 Farnborough & Aldershot Lions as part of the Lions Child Sight UK initiative are aiming to work directly with schools in a programme to detect potential undiagnosed vision problems at a young age. We want to make routine accessible non invasive screenings available by funding up to 8 specialised vision screening cameras to be used in schools throughout central southern England. 

Runaway quiz night winners were 'The Vikings plus Two' with 98.5 points with 'Pete's Killers' in 2nd place with 87 points. 'No Post on Sundays' came in 3rd with 81 points. Click Here for the full scoreboard.
