June 2025 - Aldershot Victoria Day

Despite the forecast of heavy thundery showers the people of Aldershot turned out in force for the annual Victoria Day. The Lions held a Sweetie Tombola in Princes Gardens alongside many other charity and voluntary organisations spread along Union St and Wellington Avenue.

The Lions are pictured in the carnival procession dressed in Victorian Swimwear as part of the theme 'Wonderful Water'.

This event is an ideal example of how the Lions are helping others in the community by raising money for good causes while really enjoying themselves.

Lions Information stand at Farnborough Rugby Club

September 2024

Members of Farnborough & Aldershot Lions Club held an information stand at Farnborough Rugby Club's Careers Event in September, organised by Rushmoor Borough Council as an opportunity for local organisations to introduce and promote themselves to the local community. There were roughly another six organisations present including suicide prevention , mother & toddler groups etc. however just before the event start the heavens opened (torrential rain / thunder and lightning) and as a consequence nobody turned up. We were, however, able to provide the other groups with some idea of what we were all about. Most were very interested in the Lions Community Store.
